Sign Up for 4th Grade Text Alerts
4th grade parents and students should sign up for 4th grade text alerts through Remind101 by texting their class code to the number below. Once you do that, you will be instructed to text your full name back for approval. This allows us to send text messages to all of our parents and students at once and for free! Welcome to Fourth Grade!
We would like to welcome you to fourth grade at Richardson Elementary! The fourth grade teachers work as a team. Mrs. Bruce teaches social studies, science and health. Ms. Johnson teaches math. Mrs. Moore teaches reading and language arts. Throughout the year we will use this website as a way to stay in touch with parents and communicate what's going on at school. Check back often, especially our "The Latest News" tab!
We love volunteers! If you are interested in helping out in 4th grade, click here to complete an on-line form. Once the school year gets under way, we will contact you with our volunteer schedule. Thank you for your willingness to help!
4th Grade School Supply List
Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports or PBIS is a proactive approach to student discipline. PBIS helps create a safe learning environment where students are able to learn and teachers are able to teach. PBIS is meant to recognize the positive behaviors of all students, acknowledge and reinforce the students for exhibiting the appropriate behaviors, and provide support to those students who need extra guidance meeting school wide expectations.
The Richardson ROAR
All students are expected to follow the Richardson ROAR:
I am a Richardson Tiger.
Hear me ROAR!
Classroom Behavior Management
All classrooms at Richardson Elementary use the same behavior system. Students begin their day on Ready to Learn. They can advance to Awesome Tiger and OUTSTANDING Royal Tiger for doing great things. If discipline infractions occur, they can be moved to Caution, Loss of Privilege, Do "Think About It" Activity and Conduct Report. Your child should be able to tell you what behaviors are expected at each level.

Wednesday Library Times:
Parents, please check your child's assignment book each night. Your child is given time in each class to write down his/her assignments. Assignment books are the easiest way for us to communicate so please check them nightly!
Absent Work Policy
Parents are able to call and request work for their child once he/she has been absent for TWO or more days. You may call the office and request that work be sent home with someone or pick it up yourself. Please do not request work before two days!
